New guy saying hello
Hi All- jut bought by first scooby, a mint 1998 WR Sport with a Prodrive pack on it.
Im based in Jersey, and will be using the car for a few local events and track days, as well as pootling around!
In the interests of safety, I am getting an MSA spec cage fitted soon, and looking to get some FIA spec seats.
Have owned an MR2 turbo for the last 3 years, and been using that for these sorts of things, so this is very different! Im hoping some of the modding basics are similar though.
I will no doubt ask lots of quesions as a lot of this stuff is pretty different. I think my first thing is to fit a boost gauge!

Welcome to SNet
The WR Sport were amongst the rarest of Scoobs, with only 25 available from dealers per year from 97-00, so only a possible 100 if indeed they sold them all. The mods were actually done at Prodrive, a practice which finished with these cars whereby now all Prodrive branded goods are fitted at dealers.
IIRC there were three 'packs' available, performance (exhaust and remap), handling (springs and ARB's) and styling (wing, seats and mats), with a total list price for the full monty of £40k My mate had a 'full monty'
If it's to be used as a track-toy then make sure you work on the brakes (especially if it's got 2-pots up front) and suspension before upping the power any.

Mine also has the full pack, but yeah noticed the brakes! The rarity comment maybe explains why I cant find any info!
Mine also only has 23k on the clock.
I am going to get the diffs at the rear checked, as I do find them a bit noisy.
