Cool I'm Getting Excited....

Just a few days to go until ScoobySprint and the palpatations have started...

Probably what is most in mind mind is to getting my car back tomorrow from Mocom where its undergoing its final fettling

Quite a few things been going on and its not going to be the same car as that which I left in a few days ago

A couple of weeks ago Mocom fitted my STi QuickRack and added a Whiteline BumpStop kit, then set up the suspension. Completely changed the handling resulting in a much more planted & confident feel to the car & boy does it like corners

Bolt in cage has been welded in, dropped in an STi QuickShift, added some adj rear pillow mounts (Apex) so as to get some -ve camber at the rear & checking the setup again.

Running a TD05, previously fitted a FMIC & d/pipe (though its still really quiet), Zak has just fitted the 550s, fuel pump/reg and was this evening out doing final mapping

So expecting a slightly more lively car when I collect tomorrow evening Previously more or less standard at 260 but with mods 320 or so

So together with the suspension setup, should have a pretty capable car with the final bit being the R888s which are on their way to me.

Prodrive - pheer me

Guess its all down to the driver now

Come play or watch on Sunday!

See you Sunday James, if I manage to drag Simon and myself away from the Hotel bar on Saturday night!

I'm taking the horizontal approach this year.... if the car is not all singing and all dancing at least two weeks prior to an event, I refuse to stress. I must be getting old.

Roll on Round 2 already, so I can beat my Spec C within an inch of it's life!

Hi

Sorry for not responding sooner.

The best way to get the absolute latest info is to stick your email address into the box at the bottom of Scooby Sprint Championship

Full detailed speccy info will be released about a week before each event, but we're still on target for 10 quid each, and you can definitely pay on the gate for round 1.

The competition lasts from 10:30 until at least 4pm, depending on the number of entries, etc.

Stay tuned though, as we'll get the full info to the email list close to the first event.

HTH

But can he drive?

Its easy to get money and drive in a straight line but different when it comes to corners - thats the objective

Gates open 8:30 to 9:00am, Racing starts about 10:30am until 4pm, you can pay on gate & im pretty sure you will be able to enter your car on track on the day as they will want more competitors but dont quote me on that im just guessing cos it makes sence for the organisers to do that HINT HINT!!!

Interesting that 23 cars were within 5 seconds showing that having RCM power "helps" but is not all conquering

Tom Dunstan was in a pretty standard STi Type D iirc

Me - 260bhp RA

Right Ian I will have pint of whisky with a touch of lemonade over ice that will do for starters just to warm the night up.

Tyres and Suspension Set-Up play a big part.... as well as the driver. Mine was on T1-R's for that event, so would of seen around 2secs off that time with some proper rubber. It don't matter how much power you have, if you can't use it it is useless. Car is much quicker now, so best make sure I actually use tyres appropriate this time..... not that it will make any difference with me behind the wheel.
