Just wondered if anyone that ownes a hawkeye sti is as unhappy as me with the front seats???

I think I will be changing mine very soon I feel they dont hold or hug you in any way, I have even been thinking about looking for some previous newage sti seats as I think they hug you alot more if I remember right???

Is it just me or has anyone else noticed???

Yeah, they aren't the best especially in leather like mine as you tend to slide a bit. I will eventually upgrade mine for Recaros when I can get the funds together.

I'm only slim and 5ft 6, and have found them to be hugging enough. Only problem I have is that they give me backache no matter what position I have the seat in!

Theyr a bit too wide really. For trackdays Iv bought a Cg lock which has sorted the problem & can also be used for everyday.

yeah I know what you mean, not the best but I wouldn't think you would need to go through the expense of changing them for road use. I had a Accord type R which had Recaros now they where fantastic.

I use the CG lock all the time.
The seats are rubbish, but too much bother to change.
The CG also helps with the complete lack of lumbar support.

My seat is getting quite worn after only 35k miles. The leather seat has stretched quite a bit and the side bolster has some very visible wear.
Time for a warranty claim.
The seat position feels just like my old blobeye WRX - up in the air with no side support.

I know exactly what your talking about, and its the next thing on my list of things to sort out.

My personal veiw is yup the seats are wider and of different thickness (more chunky) than say a bugeye, you sort of float on top of them as opposed to being sat in them. I understand they were manufactured this way for lardy us market, however I also believe they have changed the seat rail as the seat sits alot higher.

I would be interested in peeps who have sorted this little niggle

Hello all, being 6ft 2 i have found in my 06 WRX hawkeye the seat only just goes back far enough for me to drive comfortably, and agree not very body hugging.
