BIT MIFFED TODAY
myoo uk 2000
really red up today, driving along and get like a whistling noise at about 30mph.
slowed down to about 5mph and its not there!
speeded up to 30 again and now cant tell if its a whistling noise or something is binding? like metal rubbing.
tried a bit of left foot braking and it still there, pressed harder to get rear pads going too.........still doing it?
going along pulled on handbrake.........still there!!
guys any ideas of what it could be?
got home and all bodywork lights and indicators are all secure.

its coming from the front end, just recently had the exhaust replaced from front cat back, but dont think its the heatshield? as it does it coasting at idle. but its a good point because it wasnt doing it before the exhaust change. i`ll have a good wiggle with it!!
looks like gona have to get the front wheels off and give the front brakes a look over, maybe change the pads.

i had the same sort of thing before but never found out what it was, used to come and go, only really made the noise when the car was warmed up and had slowed from a 60 zone down to a 30 zone. I thought it had something to do with the brakes but cant say.

Sounds stupid but when I picked up my Blobeye STi acouple of years ago it started whistling as I accelerated. I couldn't work it out and was just about to turn round and take it back.
And yes it was (and I was) very stupid - it transpired that the passenger side window was very slightly open...
Probably not your problem at all but worth checking
