youd need an uncoded key and to get into it without setting the alarm off or the alarm guarding the garage they are kept in in most cases

The point was I think, that in some countries insurers are using the ECU 'immobiliser' as a reason to not pay out on theft claims, because the car is "unstealable". The point of the video is that if you swap the ECU, then the feature can be bypassed: hardly news to a thief...

The guy looked like he was in his own Evo, strange he would want to make in MORE common knowledge on how someone else could steel his type of car.
Anyways that is too 90's for most thieves now days, they prefer to beat you up as you walk up your drive and take the keys.
Much more modern.
