By import do you mean a UK-spec euro car or a JDM? The euro car is basically the same as a UK but costs less because it didn't come through the franchise system. The JDM is a far superior car altogether, so should cost more

Yes, it's likely to be similar to UK rather than JDM, so will probably be cheaper than UK. There can be some issues with having warranty work done, but I understand that some people have managed to get IM to accept their car for warranty.
