I'm no expert at all so I need advice. Any reason I should not put a bid in for this exhaust? Its just what I'm after an Afterburner vortex.

looks fine to me.

postage sounds a bit steep, but to be fair the last backboxes i send via royal mail were about this price so he's not taking the micky.

doesn't sound like he's going to spend the time sending it out in pristine condition, but that's about the only thing i'd say to expect. maybe mail him just to confirm there's no scratches and if it's the straight exit you're deffo after go for it

personally i prefer the angled exit, but then again i'm not buying it, lol

 

Cheers for the input mate. I had a feeling everyone would ignore this thread. If I can maybe get it for £100 that only £125 all in and thats a bargain if the exhaust is right.

I've messaged him on eBay asking what car it came off, approx mileage its done, what damage if any and why he's selling.

If all them boxes are ticked I'm in for it!!

Had this on my old Prodrive STi, sounded awesome!!! one of the best sounding in my opinion. mine was the angled version tho.

i had an afterburner on my old classic though, very nice. little too loud with a full decat, but a great sound

Cheers Lee. Mine is a black blob too so that gives me a good idea of the look. They do sound awesome, i've been watching Youtube vids on exhausts for about 3 hours now!!

 

I have a blob WRX on a 2004 mate. As far as the sound goes at present the only performance mod I have is a Prodrive BB which is a little quiet for my liking. I did have concerns the Vortex would be too loud but as its only the BB I am replacing I'm hoping it will be just right!!

 

i'm sure that'll be ok on it's own not sure if the WRX and STI exhausts are the same, but i nearly bought a black 03 sti a few years back and that had an afterburner backbox only and that was fine.

i was driving my classic at the time so a bomb going off would have sounded quiet, but there was a big noise decrease on the STI.

worst case if you get it for sensible money it'll be easy enough to pass on an get one more tailored to your needs

Its off a 2006 Sti I'm being told.

Am I right in thinking that will fit straight on my 2004 WRX?

 

if you're not 100% sure speak to scoobyworld who supply the afterburner exhausts, wouldn't pay more than £150 for it myself
