Default slip joint headers

Hi just got my car back 1995 wrx after getting a set of slip joint headers fitted but they sound to be blowing a little around the slip joints been told they will seal themselves has anybody else had this problem?

dont think they should be blowing at all mate.are you shure they are blowing from the slip joints and not from one of the gaskets.

Mine still have sooty marks around the slip-joints....

I had the same problem with my headers no matter what i did couldnt get them to seal, just think that slip joints are a bad design! chucked them in the end and bought equal length headers better fit more room and massive torque increase

Yep, same problem here, sooty marks around the slip joints. Blowing their **** off!
I'm going to try some exhaust assembly paste then slip them together. If that doesn't work then I'm going to weld them shut.

going to port my standard headers had this before.Just thought i would try these as i got them cheap
