Advice on tuning 2.5 engine
Finally got round to booking the car in for a remap in couple of weeks time, so wanted to do a few mods beforehand to get the most out of it.
Engine so far is standard except for:
Blitz Nur Spec R
Hayward & Scott cat pipe
Have also ordered a Green panel filter.
Would like to fit a decat downpipe but still want the car to pass MOT
Am considering this:
Impreza Turbo 2006-2007 : Subaru Impreza Decat Downpipe
But it's confusing as it says it's a sports cat and is road legal, but then at bottom it says it's illegal??!
Anyone shed any light on it?
Any other recommended mods?
Was thinking Walbro fuel pump, but not sure if this is essential for my spec nor make a big difference.
Any ideas how much I should look to gain with the above mods, bhp and torque wise.

I'd go for a decat or a sports cat if you don't mind paying a bit more for a bit less. Either is good and essential pre map IMO. You won't get through the emissions test on an MOT with a decat, but that is not to say there are not ways and means.
I would also change the fuel pump and spark plugs - view my scooby for my mods. Very minor and probably similar to where you are going.

Hi. Go for a full decat and just replace 2nd cat pipe at mot time and get it nice and hot , as for fuel pump and injectors there's no need to change, the 2.5 wrx has sti injectors and the fuel pump is good for 300+bhp, spark plugs can be change (they are different size plugs in the 2.5), but i kept standard ones with no problems at all running 285bhp & 340ftlbs mapped by JGM.
