hi there people i would just like to ask about the difference you noticed after your remap with a power fc. prefrebly on the sti classics.

1. did you notice later spool up and more top end?

2. what sort of boost you made?

3. how did the car feel power wise & drivability wise?

4. finally what difference did you notice before & after fitting the avcr to the power fc if so?

A remap should have the turbo spooling up sooner if anything, and definetly more top end, with more in between as well. Even though peak BHP might not be hugely increased, the car will be much quicker from A to B...so drivability definetly improved.

Have no experience of the AVCR so I can't comment on that.

also want to know if it will 'stress' the engine....mines done 120k

 

is spool up at 35000rpm normal/full boost at 1.5b? i for some reason know the car was quicker with the standard ecu. the car felt more responsive at 1.1b than it does at 1.5b.

 

Did you have the FMIC/turbo done at the same time ?

 

the intercooler is not fitted yes waiting for the weather to get better, turbo is standard.
