p1 for me to, limited number etc but i am with bob and biased and this debate will run and run personaly i went with th1 as they are cheaper to insure and other than the dccd i did think there were much in them.
I just had to make the same decision. I went for a Type R in the end. They just seem a bit more aggressive and lively than the P1. I would have liked the exclusivity of the P1 but I didn't think that was enough to warrant paying the extra for over the Type R. I went for the version 5 though, the interior is miles better than the earlier ones.
Type R for me too, mainly because they come with all the goodies on them that the P1 doesn't (dccd, water spray, close ratio gearbox, sti rear lights) and you can get them in the best colour...white (prototype P1 excluded).
Your post 11 quoting me, i don,t understand it.. i,m not digging at 4 doors mate reason i typed that was, i,d imagined it was a 2dr car he,s after that,s all.............
I couldn't make up my mind so i've kind of got both - P1 with a dccd box
By the way the engines are the same in that the P1 engine is just an STV/Vi engine with a marginally different knock treatment in the ecu to try to cope with the lower octane Uk petrol. There are however, marginal differences between differing model years e.g the V3's etc that are being talked about above.

Sorry, was just an honest question
Just wondered why you thought a V3 RA would be better than P1 or Type R - nowt to do with 2 or 4 doors. I like both but as I said with my daughter it would be easier to have 4 doors even if the car isn't used daily. I also don't like the thought of her being stuck in the back if anything went wrong - least with a door near her I could get her out easily.
Or if she needed a quick exit if she gets car sick
Personally I think I may avoid the hardcore stuff. Just want something to enjoy rather than **** me up everytime I get in it. Might just go for good UK or V5/6STI 4 door.
