Default can i remap a UK turbo ? and if so how much ?

got myself another scooby . its a T reg uk 2000 turbo . love it . but i remember reading that the early uk ones couldnt be mapped properly ? you had to get a better/different ECU first and then remap the new ecu ?

im i just talking dribble ?

if so then how muh should i be looking at for getting the car remap .

and if i do need another ecu , then which one should i be trying to get ??

What power depends on other factors.. do you want any other mods?

The cost of ecutek map is quite a lot so you need to think what else you can afford to do to maximse the gain.

I have a 2000 turbo and was going for just the remap but I decided if it was going to be done (and to save messing in the future) I'd bolt on a bigger turbo (VF35) and make the most of it.

The std turbo (td04) will allow you to run up to circa 280bhp I'd say (if you had decat system and panel filter and remap)

Bolt on a VF series turbo, walbro pump, decat, filter, remap and you'd be looking at between 300-320bhp
