hi all ,got my self a new scooby , but what version is it ?and which dump valve fits
i had a scooby last year but due to funds getting thin i had to sell it , but i picked up a lovely UK turbo on a t reg last week . bloody love it !
Now ive been trying to get a dump valve for it and a filter but different people are saying its different versions ?
its got the facelift dash with the flip up cubby hole on the top of the dash , the later bumper and the dump valve will go on the front of the standard intercooler , to the right of the front to be exact
but ive been told its a 4 , a 5 and it a 4/5 on the change over ??
all i want is a dump valve lol
so what one is it

There was something GC8 was going on about yesterday on another thread about it's not a good idea to put a K&N style induction kit on the 99's as they have week MAF sensors which fail and in turn destroy your engine.
I'd listen to that advice if I were you mate.

Dump valves sound cheap and nasty IMO.

Dnc is the only one who has got it right, its an MY99 uk turbo, it has no version, only classic JDM STI's have versions, not uk turbo's or WRX's.
As for mods, a dry panel filter (forget induction kits, MY99 cars have fragile maf sensors and they don't help the issue), and stick with the standard re circ, far better for the car (unless you want to swap it for the stupid sounding dv I have on my car )

UK cars dont have 'versions'; neither to JDM WRX models. Only STI models from the 1996 Version2 have numbers (there wasnt a 'version one' either). These cars need to be described by their model year, which runs from the late Autumn of the preceeding year.
