Possum Link ECU Info
#1
Hi,
Has anyone got any good resources about the Possum Link ECU? I have checked Possum Links website in NZ, ScoobyMania and BRD but was just interested in some reviews, hints, tips etc.
Also... if anyone has a scanned copy of the manual, or ideally a PDF/Postscript copy of it that would be superb, and I'll try and make it worth your while if you can get/make one (ooo-er)
ta,
Matt

You should have a copy of the manual with the ecu. It comes in the box. Your supplier should be able to supply the correct manual according to the software revision of the chip. Be careful as there are different versions of the ecu and hence manual. You need to advise whomever offers to help of the correct version of ecu and software.

thanks for the reply Bob. Can you tell me how you are fixed for mapping and plugging the ECU in sometime in early March? I would have it done this month but holidays are in the way grrrr

Matt,
I take it that you are considering a Link ECU and that you haven't actually sourced the unit from a supplier...?
For some reading material, the manual for a late-model car is here:

Reviews ? Worthless imho as the map produced is down to the tuner ?
Tips ? Worthless imho as you *must* go and see Bob to witness his skill.
I've had one on my car for (scratches head) oh must be a year now, through summer/winter, trackdays, 30thousand miles. Don't have any trouble with cold/hot starts/idling, have oodles of torque over a standard car, best addition to the car me thinks.

Hi chaps,
Thanks for all of the responses. I have actually already got the ECU (it is very frustrating it sitting here and not out there!).
I've been talking to Branko/Bob and hope to arrange something for March.

Matt.
p.s. I like the sound of 'my requirements'...hmmm Torque and Fire please Bob
