Hi

The turbo 2000 is a uk model if its your first scooby or turbo power car i would stay with the turbo uk 2000 as i think there about 240bhp or more and fast enough the p1 and type R's your looking at 300-310bhp thats quick belive me lol ,

GT2000 is the UK Turbo. A jdm will be a wrx or sti.

Doubt you'd get insurance for a P1 or Type R for under £2500.

Early UK car is 208bhp
Late Uk car is 215bhp
92- late 94 wrx is 236bhp
late 94-late 96 wrx is 256bhp
After that most saloon models were 276bhp +

1st STI (late 93) were 250ps and were modified form a wrx
1st production STI (late 95) were 275ps.

Then you have WRX RAs and STI RAs to pick from.

But when buying beware people who claim big power and there are many cars out there that have had bits and bobs replaced and then claim they are a different car (e.g. STI light clusters will fit WRXs so some people may claim them to be STIs etc)

or you could buy a sport like meee may not be turbo or have the bhp but its still a scooby and just as fun to drive and £500 insurance is not bad i will be getting a turbo one day just racking up the no claims first.

That's the sensible way.

Clock up another 40k miles experience and save yourself about £2k insurance each year.

Not classing everyone in the same bracket, but i know what i was like at 21 and to be put in a Type R, with the DCCD etc, is a recipe for disaster. I had my first impreza turbo @ 23, after building up each car performance-wise.

Hi..

I am 38 just bought a 2003 STi and Adrian flux wouldn't insure me - I went to A-Plan and got a cracking deal only costing me a couple of hundered more then my little 106 diesel...

Good Luck with your search...

Ian.
