OK here's the scenario.

Subaru 1 has done 200k but has been well maintained and has more than likely had most wear and tear parts changed.

Subaru 2 has only done 70k but will probably have most of it's original parts still on it.

Me and a friend were discussing this the other day and came up with, high mileage cars are in some cases a better buy... Anyone agree with this?

I personally think it swings both ways...but in a general comment, any car thats been serviced and well maintained..will be a good car.

200k car will still have LOADS of worn out parts on it, wont ever feel like a new car and the seats will also be worn

id take the 70k car tbh

Me too. Before the scoob I had a 300k mile 325 tds BMW. The engine ran great and it drove well! But some of things that were worn on it you wouldnt even think of. The wipers were so sloppy they rubbed on the bonnet, The gear change was like stirring a pudding mix, drivers seat was fooked as were the door hinges e.t.c.
