Why are scoob ignition keys so dear?
I need a new one, the one I use 99.9% of the time is so worn it's difficult to get it to disengage the ignition lock, and turn. The other one works perfectly.
So I phone my nearest dealer, and..................£62.10 plus VAT £71.42 for a key
Why does it have to be so dear? Especially given they my car is no longer using the OE Subaru ecu? It doesn't even have a central locking blipper on it, as mine was never remote

It's a 98 UK car............it HAS a chip that DID talk to the Scoob ecu, wouldn't start without it, but with a LINK?
Not sure if it's the same.
My youngest has lost his for his Corsa SRi, £110 plus VAT, but it DOES have a door-locking remote blipper.
