Thanx for the quick reply, was looking at getting a scoobyworld racebox just for the tone without killing the ears on the motorway but if the prodrive is just a little fruitier then it sounds a little quiet even at my age

Default another opinion

I had these fitted to my bug eyes (plus sportscat downpipe)

sounds great - perfect for cruising and loud enough for other times

Did have the group N 4" TSL backbox on for 2days - far too loud and made motorways a misery.

Believe me the Prodrive box is perfect

The Prodrive box sounds great. Nice burble, quiet on the motorway.

i thought the centre section on the ppp wasn't changed so it should be the same as what you have on (if there the same as blobeye), i swapped my centre for a h&s de resonated one brought the burble out that bit more.

As above, unobtrusive hum on the motorway, nice burble at idle, roarty when naughty.

Not too showy and last forever. Both my backboxes are 10 years old and look mint

I got the Prodrive box and I dont think its loud enough. Dont get me wrong I'm not after a Nur or anything that loud but I can hardly hear my Prodrive idling at standstill!!

Vortex for me next, that should be about right.

P.S I'll be selling my Prodrive BB too when I swap!

concur with that Aaron, its only the backbox fitted with the prodrive upgrade, the center section is left and still has a resonator in.

Try reverse parking in a garage or backwards to a wall. The reflected sound waves make all manner of things vibrate and buzz around inside the car that I don't get when parking front end in. Failing that, crack the window open a few mm.

Just an edit to my above post re. the Prodrive burble at idle.

Much depends on the car. In my wagon the noise is quite obvious and distinct but in the wifes saloon (I noticed yesterday) the Prodive box sounds much quieter inside the car.

Have known a couple of people who have taken their Prodrive back boxes with them when changing from the classic to newage and found them too quiet on the later cars (better soundproofing maybe?)

Certainly the STI exhaust fitted to the blobeye WRX the wife had last year was barely audible and was amongst the long list of reasons why the car was promptly resold.
