Probably been done before, but since the search facility is not working..............

A colleague is thinking of a P1 and wants to know the high/low price of buying one? Also, what years did they run to/from?
They are not too common on autotrader so it's hard to judge from that.

thx in advance.

Ive been looking but nearly given up due cost and insurance. If you buy from a dealer your looking around £25k for a 7k mile 1 year old X reg. You could probably haggle £1k off that. For private your looking at £1-2k cheaper than that with possibly a few goodies on it e.g. alcon brake upgrade, 18" OZ's, Decent bb etc.

Oh yeah they were only made in 2000 as a 1000 batch limited edition (each come with a number plaque in the engine bay I believe). Some were registered a lot later as they range from W reg to xx51 reg but the latter have obviously been hanging in a garage all that time.

Yes mate ! There are are few low milage cars selling private at the minute for around 21-22k. Obviously go into any dealer and that will go up to 25-26k at least. Dealers have to have a reality check soon surely ! If you dont mind a high milage car you can break the 20k barrier. Have been following the prices for quite a while now and they certainly are coming down. Who said the STi wouldnt affect the price of the P1 ???? Im after one also, but still waiting.......

Good luck with your search !

Ricky !

Dont mean to be rude but dealers were offering brand new P1's at a time for 27K, and even at that, I would imagine there was substantial profit margin. Just shows how much they are actually ripping us off !
