Hi all

Am going to need a 40k service on my 54 Sti, im going to keep the stamps up to date and just wondered if anyone can recommend a particular Subaru dealer in the midlands please? Would a particular service cost the same no matter which Subaru garage i use or do they all charge the same?

I can personally recommend paul at http://www.ardenbridge.com
he is an independant guy who used to work at andrew burt subaru which is a former subaru dealer,but he went out on his own,he really knows his stuff and uses all original subaru parts at half dealer prices!
he will stamp your book no problem,

to be honest i will never go back to a dealer the prices they charge are just ridiculous and all the real benefit is a dealer stamp!and to be honest do you really want to pay double the price of an indepedant garage who does exactly the same job and parts??

Depends on whereabouts you live.All dealers in my experience charge different amounts for servicing.

Obviously it isn't worth travelling too far.Westaway's in Sprattan nr Northampton are very reasonable and service is good.

Ok, cheers guys, think i'll give that guy in Henley in Arden a try if i cant find anything nearer, how much does he usually charge approx? I know it depends on what needs changing, but lets say oil, filter, brake and clutch fluid and visual checks everywhere else?

Hi Rob

Best to give him a ring as i can't remember off the top of my head
but i had a 30k service done which is oil,filter,brake fluid,gearbox oil,diff oil,plugs,fuel filter,air filter,basicilly everything except cambelt and it cost me 330 which in my opinion was excellent,he will also do visual checks of your complete car and report if he finds anything which is good for piece of mind.

Cheers for the advice guys, anyone else that knows anyone trustworthy enough and maybe a bit closer to me, im in Cannock in the west mids.
