Loads of road works going on in Town at the moment (fast heading towards the end of the financial year)
Whenever I head round to the M23 (from M25 J26), I always go across the Dartford Bridge. On a good day 3/4 hour, bad day just over the hour.
Saturday morning shouldn't be too busy I'd think

From where you are fella i'd get myself on the m25 straight from the A127 ,you'll fly round to that on a saturady , should do that in about 15 mins from yours , then straight iver the bridge , A5
not a chance with the works going on down there , as for everywhere else londion is just sh*t at the mo to get through

If you want fun, A10----->A406------>Beckton, head towards London City Airport, then Silvertown Way------> Aspen Way (through the Tunnel
) -------> The Highway------>Upper Thames St/Lower Thames St (another tunnel
), along the Embankment to Westminster Bridge, then A5----->A23/M23What do ya think?

A406, FERRY, A205, A2212 to Bromley, A21, A233 through Biggin Hil, A25 then you can either go A22, A264 or nip onto the M25 and down the M23 from there depending on where you are going - I would do the cross country version

Well I can get you from the A10 down to the ferry without hitting any of the arterial roads but the scenery is cack - I was trying to provide the OP with a bit of a more interesting route with a bit of countryside in it - other than the Lee Valley there is naff all between the A10 and the river, so best get shot of it via the North Circ, relax on the ferry then enjoy the rest.
Get your passport stamped and venture over - as long as you avoid Walworth & Peckham, you should be safe enough

Yep - Woolwich Ferry & its free
If you're going Haywards Heath, then when you get to the A22 on the A35, Turn Left, A264 towards Crawley then B2028 to Haywards Heath. Not a motorway to be driven on
