So these people moved next to a track and are now complaining about the noise?
The rule of the "Needs of the many" would seem to apply here!

its the same with airports people move next to them because houses are cheaper etc and then complain about the noise i live near the north circular road near the ace cafe, and some cars are silly loud but i don't complain because its nice to be able to live somewhere without having to worry about how much noise your exhaust is making etc

this rubbish annoys the hell out of me, people think they can claim damages for anything nowadays - and its getting worse because the courts let them!
the circuit was there before they were!

culling is the answer .... cull them all!!!
seriously though at risk of offending people, to me motorsport is one of the few worldwide sports left that the uk is taken seriously in and has elements that still remain to be considered british! It's people like that who are killing this country pieces at a time and spoiling others enjoyment of things because they're too damn stuck up, bitter, twisted and miserable to accept that the world doesn't revolve around them.
cull them!

Trouble is that this whole process costs money. We are way too lenient in this country in allowing things like this to even come to court. A member of the judiciary should have spent no more than 5 minutes in the following process:
Was the circuit there before they were?
Yes.
Case dismissed.
Issue nice big bill to the complainant for attempting to wasting the court's time.
As simplistic as that sounds it is what is needed for cases like this.

Simple solution...Ear Muffs!!
Ear Muffs for music teachers, Ear Muffs for binmen collecting glass, Ear Muffs for people living near airports, race circuits or anything else that makes a noise, but most of all Ear Muffs to fend off the twaddle coming from the government!!
