Strength of STi7 Engine.

Just wondering if all the blurb about the STi7 ie semi closed block,reshaped pistons(molybdenum coated),shimless valve lifters,sodium filled exhaust valves means that this engine will be more tuneable(ie take more abuse) than the previous.Any thoughts.

As I understand it, it is usually the pistons and bigend bearings that are the weak points. The engine (and car) is very new and has been totally revised (70% redesign?) so I guess nobody really knows(till they start blowing them up 
)

Unfortunately,there are no Scooby experts here,cause the engines are too complex and expensive to f*ck around with....now if it's Cossie engine info your after..
