I'm a newbie too, I ve got a 2001 bug eye wagon.
I'm really glad I joined scoobynet it full of usefull info and if you want to know anything ( and I mean anything) you only have to ask the question and someone will know the answer , and everyone is really friendly.
Get some pictures up of your motor.
