One my way back from the Snowdon area (thats in Wales by the way) to Chester, decided to take the twisty / sceneic route as i did not fancy the boring ***.
Mid Wales has some really good roads where you can push on and still make good time
Anyway i was behind one of those Ford Galaxy MPV things, when we got the a bend he would be on the brakes then on to the streight road and he would speed up to 80-85, i would stay well back not wanting to get into some sort of race (whats to point
) after about 5 miles of this i got a bit fed up as he was ruining my fun, so next bend had loads of visability so i floored it and shot passed, got my speed down to 60-65 had a couple of nice bends then the usual road works 
stopped at the lights and waited. The Ford by now had caught up and stopped behind me.
I looked in the rear view and saw 2 POLICE looking back at me
They did'nt pull me over, so have i got away with it THIS TIME!?
Morral of this story - DONT race MPV's

One would imagine that if they didnt stop you then your fine. I wouldnt have thought theyd have the equipment in a vehicle like that to "lawfully" measure your speed (i.e. that would stand up in court) so they could only do you for dangerous driving etc which from your account of things, sounds unlikely.
