A newby scoobynet member Just thought Id say helloooo!!
HI there to all you scooby lovers,just wanted to introduce myself,im Rob from Shipley and I have an STI8 had him for about 3 years and love him dearly.
Had a few engine problems which set my bank card on fire but hey thats part of wanting to own one I guess!
Modding him up is on hold at the moment as im still recovering from my engine repair bill,though I am still on the look out for a de cat 1 pipe for him.
Anyway hope to maybe see some of you guys out and about some time,work is now calling me,so bye for now!!!

Had a burnt valve on cylinder 4,went through all the channels trying to eliminate what my newly lit engine light could be,diagnosis brought up misfire on cylinder 4,changed plugs,cleaned idle valve,replaced neutral sensor etc hoping it would be a simple job but no,it was an engine out job,an expensive doo but its sorted now so just hope now he treats me a bit better than he has been lol!!

I'm really pleased to find someone else who calls their car 'him'.....most people I've come across call their cars 'her' and scoobies don't strike me as girly at all........

Your problem with the engine can come from a few things, bad fuel (super unleaded only on these cars or you can melt pistons), decats (blows engines up) and a few other little things you will learn
Just ask advice about modding before you do it
not quite as easy on an STI as it is on a wrx

Must admit been a guy I like to call him a her but yer like you say scoobydoo aint a girl (is he)lol,yer scoobies aint girly are they thats why he's still a he,I bought him from a girl so a guy he's staying lol!!!!
