Lightbulb Import Mileage

I had a thought today.....

If the odometer on my car is at 86,000 and the car was imported to England in year 2000 is part of this still in KM? Or, is the mileage adjusted when the speedo is made to read in MPH? I have no clues in what little history I have with the car.

Yes the odometer is partly km,partly miles. I bought my car as a 'fresh' import (i.e. i was the first UK owner) which then had to be converted to read in miles.

that's IF it has been converted to miles or not. I have always left my Import cars to run up in Km's (saves any hassle.....)
