Default ANDY FORREST 18G

Guys just a quick one

is there any way of telling that a second hand AF 18G is in fact one supplied from andy himself? are there any markings etc to confirm it is one of his

and will a ver2 sti fitiment be the same for a 2000 w reg p1 are they the same entry or would it need to be converted?

and what are the going prices for a second hand one?

regards

not sure on markings but fitment is different as the V2 is top entry and the P1 is front entry, not sure one prices either sorry but i would have thought £450 for a good condition one would be reasonable

its easy to on your own car.
Where does the pipe that comes off the turbo go?
if it passes under the inlet manifold its front entry, if it comes upwards to the filter then its 90 degree entry.

look on Andy Forrests website, but if it is a front entry and your fitting it to your P1 then it will be a straight swap with the VF28 that is on it now

You must be talking about the one on ebay at the moment. I noticed it says it is from an STi 2, I thought they used 90deg entry, but the one in the add is definatley front entry, so will be fine for you:

*SUBARU STI/WRX TD05 18g TURBOCHARGER* on eBay, also, Subaru, Car Parts, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 11-Jan-09 21:00:00 GMT)

yeah thats the one

how well would that perform with 550's, full decat, walbro pump, later headers - the intercooler option are below as i only have std sti at the minute

cant decide between sticking with the uprated tsl pannel fitler and getting a larger newage sti top mount intercooler or

as above but with a hybrd and a k&n kit as the above would be cheaper and easier to do as the bumper etc needs cutting.

what do you guys think?

also i woul dlike to do a few track days so how does a top mount fair on them?

550's will be fine with this turbo, i would always plump for a fimc over a timc if i had the choice, speak to Harvey Smith for more info over this but you will get measured statistics only in a reply not supposition reliant on hearsay...
