Hawk eye 06 WRX or 05 Blob Eye STI PPP??
Hi guys i am having a bit of a decision problem!!!
I have to decide weather to buy a new WRX Hawk Eye on an 06 plate or a STI PPP Blob Eye on an 05 plate?
I like the look of the hawk eye more, especially front end, but cant help thinking you get more for your money on STI PPP.
The STI is about £1500 more expensive, however, by the time i buy new alloys and rear spoiler for the WRX it will work out at similar price????
I drove the 06 2.5 WRX and was very impressed with it particularly with the lower down grunt, it was very nice.
I also drove a 2002 Bug Eye STI on the same day and if i am honest found the new WRX to be better to drive. It seemed easily as quick as the 02 STI which shocked me to be honest!!
But i dont know what the 05 Blob Eye PPP will be like?? Anybody driven both an Blob Eye STI PPP and the new 2.5WRX? If so what do you think??
Help Please?? I AM WRACKING MY BRAINS TRYING TO MAKE A DECISION???

There is a very noticable difference between a PPP and non PPP car that said i would pick a blob STI over a wrx hawkeye.. you'll just end up wishing you bought the sti... last of the blobs are 2.5's arent they anyway.?

the 2.5 engine is the one to go for. The 2.0 turbo is an all or nothing and can be a bit hectick to drive. The 2.5 is a more progressive throughout the rev range...2.5 STI is the one to go for if you can afford the extra cash

Bought a brand new 04 WRX and loved it to bits, Spent quite a bit on her trying to turn it in to something that it would never be an STi, Bit the bullet and bought a hawkeye 3 months ago, I'll never swop it! If your budget can stretch to an STi then do it, think long term because when you have some spare cash you will start modding.
I wish someone had given me this advice when I started looking at Scoobs.

The Blobeye STI is my personal favourite out of all subarus, so I'd choose that! In black, or that silver/bronze colour (don't know the name!) If I had the money! One for sale 50 yards from my house in a garage.

Ive got an 05 blobeye WRX and after thinking about it I should have spent a few quid more and I would have without doubt bought a Hawkeye STI real nice car to look at and drive

I had a similar dilemma, and in the end went for a hawkeye wrx after selling my bug. And as much as I love the car, I do sometimes wished that I went for a blob STI... plus if I'd have waited a bit longer, I could even have afforded a hawkeye STI with the mad prices they're going for now!
I say go for the STI, I spent a fair few bob in the end on STI parts (spoiler, interior, plus looking to buy the mini spoiler and foglight covers) that it would have made more sense to go for that in the first place.
Anyway, good luck with your choice...whatever you decide you won't be dissappointed thats for sure.
