Default Wow ! Dunno who uses their scoob for long journeys

But sod that again !

Just did a 534 mile round trip yesterday,cost £75 in fuel and i was doing 26 - 28 mpg

1st put in full tank of vpower, 43 litres,90p litre, that cost £40 had to top up BEFORE i got there, with eeek,BP ultimate as no shell garages around, put £20 in of that at 96p litre, then topped up £15 of v power when found shell to get home at 95p litre.

only really use the car for local travel to work, 150 miles a week so not used to that kind of consumption.

Fair play to you guys who do use it for long distance !

Lol! I found the comfort thing an issue more than the fuel. Drove about 300-odd miles to p-ex against my audi. I literally threw the keys at the dealer. My back and a$$ ached much. Had a great & comfortable drive back though!

Yep - pricey things to use long distance - just come back from an 800 mile round trip to devon. Plenty of stops for fuel! Luckily this doesnt happen too often.... The thing I find annoying is being able to find a garage that definitely sells super unleaded. There really shold be a satnav add on that pin points these places

me and my dad go down to okehampton in devon on a golf holiday every year and that's about 250 each way. you're dead right, it's a bit of a wallet hitter! i guess there's about 30 miles left in the tank when we get there so not too bad

well, that's until my mate in his old 406 diesel told me he'd driven a little further to exeter, visited his folks and drove round a bit, then drove home.
all on 1 tank
something daft like a 600 mile tank in that beastie! but it did fall apart eventually being french

My P1 isn't that good on fuel - goes through ~£100 of fuel on a similar length of journey - and it's actually better since I had it mapped to Optimax. To be fair I do have a heavy right foot - but that's what it's for, isn't it?

I use my STi as a daily driver, Im up and down the country all the time in it. Its costly, loud, uncomfortable, obnoxious and has a rubbish turning circle. But when I put my foot down I realise that I would'nt have it any other way.

I'll regularly do 500 to 1,000 miles per week. I get about 250 miles out of a full tank. Fun way to spend money - but you're right - very expensive.

I used to be based in Hameln, Germany. I loved driving back and forth!! 240 miles to Folkestone, filled up at Tesco. Just over 220 miles from Calais to Wankum and filled up again then off to Hameln for 150miles along a lot of unrestricted Autobahn so pretty much 2 and a half to 3 tanks in all!!

Now I've got MY08 STi seats and they're much more comfortable

Did a 300+ mile round trip the other night, and I reckon I used about a tank: which is okay considering it was mostly motorway/duel carraigeway.

Got 400 miles to a tank on the McRae Gathering, and to fill my tank now is about £50...so don't know if that's any good as a comparison?

My Garmin Nuvi has all the petrol station POIs in by type so I can search for Shells! I know some don't do V-Power but I've not come across one that didn't.

I did a round trip to PowerStation last month, 250ish each way, used a hell of a lot more on the way back!

stop complaining, v-power is cheaper than bottled water now. Go and buy a prius and follow an HGV next time.

on a recent trip of 1471 miles I managed 27.5mpg, thats a combination of long motorway runs and full throttle round the welsh mountain roads.

mpg is good there but can totally relate to the comfortability factor. My sti05 seats are a killer on a long journey, not comfortable at all.

Use my Forester Sti as a daily driver including at least 2 trips a year to The 'Ring.
Get anywhere between 6ish to 30 mpg but love every mile!!
