Unhappy Car broken into and vandalised!!

Well last night my car was broken in to

They somehow managed to get a crowbar or something between the front and rear passenger door and pop the front door open, denting both quite badly in the process

The police think they may have been trying to take the car, but fortunately I had my disc lock on so instead they made off with just my head unit and the child seat

Oh and as a final kick in the nuts, they decided to key along the whole length of each side of the car and kick the crap out of every panel on each side

Had the forensic lady give it a going over today and they found one smudged print, however it could belong to me or the wife so I'm not holding my breath

anyway, happy new year everyone......

To$$ers - If you need money for drugs etc break a window and nick the stereo. Wrecking your car when a disclok was blindingly obvious is just plain evil. Hope the little $hits get what they deserve.

No pics yet but I'll get some sorted tomorrow,

does seem a bit extreme I've been wondering if I've upset someone along the line???

cheers for the replies so far, was absolutely fuming last night, wasn't until this morning that I found the key marks and all the dents just feel really disenchanted with it now

kinda wish they'd just had it away, can't really afford to get it all repaired myself so it'll have to be an insurance claim (bye bye full no claims ). I just wonder if it will be a write off, how easy is it to pop out dents and sort out some keying???

whats years the car mate, a bodyshop will have to finish the dents in filler, if the rear quarters are badly damaged they would go for a new panel same with doors and wings, by the time u repair the panels insurance companies wud rather fit a new one, which then pushes the costs up.

when the pics are up pm me and il have a look.

It's a tarted up '97 GL, the dents are really bad, looks like they've been done with the crowbar or whatever was used to prise the door open

The car is probably worth £1000 tops but It's quite extensively modded, I'm with Greenlight who cover mods like for like, but I have no idea where I would stand in this situation - would they repair it as paying out for the mods would be £5000ish or would they just pay out for a standard car leaving me god knows how much out of pocket???

cheers anyway mje, I'll take some pics tomorrow and post them up

Sorry to hear about your car.

Is it just me, or is this country getting worse....Don`t get me wrong its never been great.

People seem to have more issues than ever, it dosent help living in an obsessed celebrity culture. Where 99% live the usual converyer belt lifestyle....Work, sleep, bed and maybe enough money to have a nice holiday or buy a good car.

As 2009 starts, you can guarantee our politician`s will carry on lieing too us and more of our troops will die in Afghanistan.

The whole point is, Britian in general has to change.

sorry to hear about your car w***ers
There may be an easier way rather than make a claim, wings and doors are quite easy to get in the same colour. What colour code is your car ? You would only need to get the rear quarters painted. This may cost less than making a claim???
