Hands Up
Who have had their Scooby longer than me, after buying it brand new?
MY00 Classic - May 2000 with 12 miles on it - now January 2009 and 91,000 miles on and the seat is moulded to my body
It has been the best overall car I have ever owned (and I am old enough to have owned quite a few!!) .... not the prettiest, not the most economical, not the cheapest for parts - but the most reliable and the best!
Thanks Subaru

Dont know about owning any car too long, but been in and out of 5 scoobys since my first a my96 in march 2000, different circumstances have forced me to change over the years, but if I could have I probably would have still had this, gotta respect you all though for having them so long

I agree SSU. I've only had mine for a year, but it stands out as something special.
It's not the performance: it's the fact that I can't think of any other similar car from 1998 that can do everything my Subaru does without ever letting me down.
I did a 300+ mile round trip the other night, and at no point did I worry about breaking down and being stuck in the middle of nowhere in the freezing cold - which is what would happen in any other performance car I can think of. Growing up my Uncle had every quick car in it's day - Quattros, cosworths etc etc - and they all had one thing in common: they were always in the garage having a fault fixed. The Subaru I have feels like a new car!
If you look after them, they'll look after you.

Got mine new, on March 1st, 2000, ordered it in about the october before, i think the dealer thought i was joking when i turned up in a beaten up old mini and ordered 21k's worth of car...!!
Still got it, 320 ish bhp, loadsa fun when i do drive it, around about 53k on the clock now.....
However, am considering getting rid of it, but the little that it's worth i just aswell keep it....

Mine is a my93 and I got it in 98 and it had 45,000 miles on it, now it has nearly 134,000 miles on it, so thats 91,000 miles in 11 years and still going strong.
