Did you know that fitting an induction kit or any other non-standard filter will NOT invalidate ya warantee! (unless a standard filter is fitted FREE of charge on a service)
This paragraph is from the K&N web site, I fitted one to my Vectra sri and vauxhall did not bat an eye lid and have done some warrantee work since, dam now you know what i potter around in,Bugger!!
Vehicle Warranty
Contrary to what you may have heard or read, a K&N Filtercharger will not void your vehicle warranty. The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act passed in 1982 makes it illegal for a manufacturer to void a new vehicle warranty if the consumer uses non-OEM filters unless that manufacturer provides filters free of charge. If the manufacturer does not provide air filters free of charge, they cannot void the vehicle's warranty simply because you have installed an aftermarket air filter.
COOL eh?

Optimistic methinks.
Whilst the air filter may be changeable ways round it could include
- warranty stipulation on granularity of particulate filtration (proven of course)
- or simply the ripping out of various bits of the OEM induction system may just constitute a breach warranty under non-warrantied modifications!

I saw this statement a while ago...
I was under the impression that the legal precident had been set in America, it seemed to be written in americanese... but I would like to be wrong.
