Default Vltd front splitter....notable difference?

hi all, looking at purchasing a vltd splitter for my 05sti as it makes the car look sharper from, however I was wondering is there any notable difference to the handling characteristics of the car or is it purely a cosmetic thing?does the splitter only come into play at very high speeds?

thanks

No noticable difference to my 03 sti when I fitted one. Does make kerbs a lot closer though!

On the road it is cosmetic. A first class driver pushing hard on a track may notice a difference especially if the ride height is lower as well.

At Castle Combe my car was slower by 5 mph on the pit straight with it missing, otherwise not noticed the difference except fot the scrapping during going up and down ramps

i thought it only worked on 100 kmph+ speeds? seem to remember reading that somewhere?

it does finish the front off perfectly though even though i nibble mine every now and again i'd never be without one
might go for something a bit less pricey than a carbon one though, damn kerbs seem to be jumping out recently
