No, this means like last time, a further number of Scoob drivers will find out what terminal oversteer/understeer is when driving too fast for the conditions and bugger up their wheels/tyres/suspension/or worse
Suitably asbestosed up......

sorry Guys,
just a bit of friendy fun, no offence intended. During the bad weather after christmas the DOE forgot to salt the roads over here and ALL rear wheel drive cars were having serious problems. The scoob could go, but on the potentially more serious matter of changing direction or stopping the Scoob was no better, as i found out when three cars spun in front of me, some quick prayers said but no harm done that time!
Again guys just a bit of banter!

Chris,
I don't know, spreading rumour and gossip like that. *tut tut*.
There will be *NO* big freeze at the weekend, it will be mild. My computer told me
Cheers
Ian (who finds himself still working for the Met Office)

Hmm is that the same sort of reliable no big freeze comment as the now infamous one made about there being no hurricane in the UK a few years back LOL

IC,
Wasn't a hurricane, was an extra-tropical storm (there is a difference)
Chris,
John Kettley doesn't work for the Met Office anymore. He happened to discuss the possibilites of a big freeze/heavy snow with a reporter who took the whole lot out of context. The story then got to The Mirror and it was blown out of all proportion. Then all the news feeds such as AnaNova etc. latched onto it etc. etc.
Met Office are standing by their forecast of mild conditions. Others may not be. You take you choice....
Cheers

I learn't last time it snowed that having AWD is great, but not necessarily with nice, wide, ultra low profile road tyres (and seeing as I have just swapped to 17", I think I'll be staying off the roads as much as possible).
Would be nice if Croydon Council think that this time it would be a good idea to grit the roads, rather than turning them into skating rinks / lorry parks, as happened on parts of the A23 and other major roads last month.
