New Scooby owner & McRae Gathering Question!
Hi all,
I finally pick up my scooby on Saturday, after years of wanting one, so looking fwd to arriving everywhere with a smile
Suspect I'll be spending some time on here in the future but one quick question for now:
the car I'm getting has the McRae gathering sticker in the back window, which I assume means it was at the actual event. Might sound a bit sad but is there anyway of finding out if it was in the Record attempt. It would just be nice to know.
One other question are there any weak points from a security point of view? The car is totally std and I'll always use a Disclok but wondered if there are any major bits to replace/upgrade to make it harder to break in/steal??
Cheers

a lot of people bought the sticker but didnt go, so may or maynot be, best thing is to try an locate the last owner an ask them, or there is a aral view pic on lie, see if u can zoom in a see it, bit of a long shot but u never know,
good security is a need thing on a scooby, its one of the easyest cars to get into,
the disklock is a great thing to use, alwas use that, (dont use a bar one, that makes it easyer for them to brake the stearing lock) also a top alarm an immob is a must,
not sure what to say about trackers, there norm put in the same place's, an aparently u can detect them with scanners, basicly they take ur car an leave tracker on drive, so ive heard,
so good alarm/immob an disclock, my opinion

If it went to the event then it was in the pic! The last owner should be on the V5 so they'll be able to tell you. Can't imagine why they wouldn't.
I have a tracker, it doesn't make a lot of differences with brokers like Keith Michaels but if you are new to the scene then sometime Tesco or direct Line (who do need trackers) can be cheaper. KM like to see a year's experience behind the wheel of a Scoob before quoting competitively.

is it just the big mcrae gathering sticker, or is it the white one with the red lip at the bottom? because that would mean it was pretty certain to have been there, unless anyone has been selling those on ebay as they were never sold by the gathering people
