Default just bought a car

wrx type ra, straight body wise, knock on the engine (bottom end i believe) but still drives ok, k reg 100k miles

Just a grand


good price or not?

A mate got a N reg Sti with a slipping clutch and failed mot for £800 quid last week

just been on a RA website and i need to check the model number as i may not have an RA but hey its getting taken apart anyway


that sti was cheap anyway

not much point posting pics (although it looks ok if you like white wheels on a silver car) anyway i need to check that website thing to see if it actually is an RA

don't think if it's a silver one. STI RA is white, RA is white or red iirc.

checked the id number by the strut top and its a std wrx, but hey if was an ra it would have been a bonus but wrx is fine for £1k, just need to get the lump out and rebuild/upgrade some stuff for future bigger power - any good links for ideas as to where to start?

RA wouldn't have made any difference really on a wrx. If it was an STI then you'd be quids in due to all the DCCD malarky. Check if you've got a closed deck block

i am very new to scoobies how can i tell if its a CDB, the engine needs rebuilding so that'll be fun......

googled it, filled in bits to run higher boost etc.... so cant tell until its ooot and split into bits
