Default My Impreza is poorly....

Just had the most depressing news for a long time. It appears my piston rings are fooked

Options open to me are break it or fix it. Fixing it, unless I can think of a way to raise £2k is not an option really. I was considering breaking it. I reckon that way I'm likely to get more for it? I've just shelled out nearly £500 on a set of Toyo proxes 4 and had the geometry set up. GREAT!!!

Has anyone broken an Impreza before? is it worth it?

Suppose the other option is to sell it as is but obviously stating the problem to the potential buyer?

Your thoughts and opinions would be much appreciated.

CEL get upto grade-a and get one of their replacement engines mate, they arent to expensive and they offer a DOA warranty. its only up the "road" from you too

I wouldnt break or sell an impreza at the minute you wont get as near as what you would have a few months ago and its always going to be a pain in the **** to break and have bits left over for possibly months!

Sorry, It's a MY 98 Terzo turbo. Looks like this

Got some nice bits on it, but probably not as nice as I think they are

Shaggy, had considered a replacement engine, but assumed no one would give a warranty with them. I will check it out. Thanks

Guess I'm so disheartened at the minute I just want it gone!!

Had a quick look on Grade A, still looks like waaaay too much to get it running properly again. Does anyone want to buy it as is? Going cheap!

Thanks dazza80 but I'm still feeling like it needs to be gone at the moment the only way is 'another' damn loan. Pants really when there have been some redundancies where I work recently! Fortunately I'm not one of them and have been assured I wont be, but you never know!!
