Default Any one bought one of the cheap dump valves off ebay?

Looking at dump valves and finding loads about £30 like the one below:

Dump Valve with BUNG Subaru Impreza 01-05 WRX STi on eBay, also Engine Tuning Parts, Performance Tuning Parts, Car Tuning Styling, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 20-Dec-08 19:23:00 GMT)

Worth the money or rubbish. Louder the better!!

Also is the noise gonna be louder on my 350bhp sti than on my old 225 bhp wrx as a wasnt impressed with my ssqv on that.

It brings to mind the expression about getting what you pay for!

'protects the turbo' - you mean just like the standard Subaru part?

Even at £38.99 (may be a bit less now that Uncle Gordon has cut v.a.t to 15%) it would still be far better value for money to simply stick a sign in your back window stating: "I AM A ****!"

i did sell it to someone on here was very happy with it too. dont get me wrong the turbosmart/hks is a very good unit but the build quality is equally as good for the price there just un named unit, even the piston is a good quality brass on because of the similar design to the turbosmart unit they do sound the same, you could buy alot worse off ebay..... but my preference is block it off or go recirc lol

Can't really see how fitting a HKS D/V will make the turbo spool up any different?

When you have just had your pants pulled down for nearly 300 quid you don't want to tell everyone it made no difference other than making it sound like a bus.

i had a unversal adjustable diaphram one off them for my old gt4 tbh it was better than the baileys twin piston i replaced it with.
i put the cheap on back on as i could adjust it the baileys caused me a few probs as some do on gt4s the adjustable one allowed me someadjustment and worked perfectly.
But saying that i had a silly cheap trumpet one on my classic when i got it and when put my td05 on when i hit full boost id lose pressure because the spring was so week but i dont know where that came from.
