Hi guys when i reverse then move forward my brakes make a fairly loud clunk noise, its as if the pad is moving. Only does it when reverse then go forward, then fine till i reverse again? Whats causing it and is it easy to sort?

Normal movement of pad in caliper. Leave it be. Might be worth checking your caliper bolts are not loose (unlikely).

I got that on my 06 JDM Sti

Its annoying as f00k!

I couldn't hear it until I changed to coil overs but now ever click and band from anywhere of my car is audible

Don't know if there is a fix.

I have a friend who had this prob when he changed the pads on his BMW. As these were sliding calipers the pads had a tongue of metal back plate sticking out beyond pad material so I held the trailing edge of this over a vice and flattened it slightly with a 4 lb club hammer. This squashed the end of the backplate a bit and reduced the clearance and now quiet. Don't think there's enough metal sticking out on a Brembo pad to do this. Alternatively you could put a couple of small blobs of weld on the trailing edge then file back for a snug fit.

Personally this noise doesn't bother me at all as I'd rather be sure the pad is free in the caliper.
