Question

Is there any significant difference in tyre wear front to rear?

Yes. Fronts will wear first. Swap them around at every service and you'll be OK.

And don't forget to correct your tyre pressures when you do.

If you are going to rotate the tyres front to back, i'd recommend to do them more frequently - every 2-3000 miles - that way, you don't get such a pronounced geometry wear pattern on them.
