Very easy thing to do Pete.

Just remove the 'splitter' underneath to access the screws holding the scoop in place, undo and remove.

10 minute job mate.
Held on with 6 or so nuts into captive bolts that are in the scoop.

I think if it's a 93-96 pre facelift, you need to remove the undertray too that sits onto the intercooler when the bonnet is closed.
1997-2000 facelift models, I think you can leave the undertray still in place.

Thanks, it's a facelift.

Pheasant got sliced in half on it and I've now lost one of the plastic pegs .... need to get it apart to put a screw in place.

Was on the M3 doing a fair speed and the thing was lifted up 10mm one end - I thought it was going to fly off!!

A pheasant that got sliced in half was going to fly off? Now I KNOW you're pulling our legs
