Scoop Removal
Is it sipmple to remove the scoop from the bonnet of a Classic?
Mine is loose on one end, need to take the assembly off to rectify on the dining room table.

Very easy thing to do Pete.
Just remove the 'splitter' underneath to access the screws holding the scoop in place, undo and remove.

10 minute job mate.
Held on with 6 or so nuts into captive bolts that are in the scoop.
I think if it's a 93-96 pre facelift, you need to remove the undertray too that sits onto the intercooler when the bonnet is closed.
1997-2000 facelift models, I think you can leave the undertray still in place.

Thanks, it's a facelift.
Pheasant got sliced in half on it and I've now lost one of the plastic pegs .... need to get it apart to put a screw in place.
Was on the M3 doing a fair speed and the thing was lifted up 10mm one end - I thought it was going to fly off!!
