Servicing - by mileage or time interval?
#1
I don't do a particularly high mileage (18,000 miles in 18 months), and my car, a MY00, is out of warranty as it's a EU import. On the basis of Subaru's normal servicing schedule (every 7,500 miles or 6 months, whichever's sooner), mine would be coming up to the 30k service.
Should I have this done, or have the 22,500 miles one? (I also change the engine oil mid-service, after about 3,500 miles).

I had a similar situation to yours last year, and my dealer at the time said I could have "another" 22,500 service ie oil change etc and this would not invalidate the warranty. Needless to say this is what I did

pete,
i have a similar car to yours (EU import, 18 months old), but i have only done 9,000 miles !!
i had the 7,500 and 15,000 done as per schedule, but have decided to have future servicing done on a mileage basis (except for oil changes). seemed pointless having services done if no wear and tear is occuring
cheers alan
