Question

as seen in the back of this months EVO mag.

I can save 4 grand on a fully loaded BMW 330i SPORT, all I have to do is arrnage my own finance in time for delivery.

What are the pitfalls (if any) when buying from Europe?

Their web site informs me that UK BMW dealers are obliged to service my car so no problems there, but just wondered if there is any thing I'm missing?

Thanks

Just make sure it's a full UK spec. Oh, and check the company out carefully, so you don't end up losing your deposit. You could always try www.showroom4cars.com (tel 0870 753 4444). Used them a while back - very helpful, price included delivery into the UK. No connection etc, etc.

Check the following:

- Euro rate they use to give the price in £'s. Some importers use an unrealistic value to make the price tempting.

- Is the price for a fully delivered, taxed and reg'd car and does the price include their service fee??

- Does the deposit go to them or a main dealer. BMW deposit to a dealer should be 10%. 2 directors of an import company had been arrested after they went bust, instead of deposits going straight to main dealer, they were invoicing customers for larger deposits and possibly 150 of their customers don't know if their cars are placed on not.

Any more questions, just ask.

regards

Bought my new MY01 with Exclusive Eurocar, your deposit goes direct to the dealer not them and they charge around £300 for there services, apart from giving false delivery times in writing(1 month late)they were very proffesional, speak to Martin there and he will give you all the relevant information you need.
Bit of advice all their cars come into Purfleet docks so save some cash and go and pick it up yourself its a doddle.
I would recommend them to anybody.
