Perhaps should be in security section but wanted to share this with a few more.
Totally fed up swiping the standard Cobra immobilser so I've had a Cat 1 system installed and the Cobra ripped out.
Very impressed with the system, also had a motor fitted in the drivers door and the central locking is now remote. I've ordered a pager system so should the alarm be triggered I will always know even if I'm not near the car.
The installer was Craig Finney known by most here as craigamungos. I'm an electrical engineer by trade and I'm usually involved with multimillion pound life dependant installations and I can say that Craig's standard of installation is first class. All joints were soldered, insulated and loomed, no iffy crimps or connectors.
I would recommend anyone thinking of a security upgrade to contact Craig at craigfinney@ntlworld.com
Cheers

Fizz,
Sorry about your car M8. Recent stories of houses being broken into for the keys as well.
I have my house and garage alarmed and have a secure car park at work so I'm more fortunate than most.
Only thing we can do is make it as hard as possible for the low life to get the car.

I do take the car out, but I'm careful where I park it, although this was not the cause in your case.
Did the Clifford go off Fizz? The reason I am having the pager system in is that sometimes you don't hear the alarm has been triggered, especially in pubs and restaurants.
