Thumbs down The time has come to practically GIVE my Scooby away!

Right as me selling my scooby is the only thing stopping me from getting the E46 M3 i want it now has to go for buttons

First person with 2K gets it

https://www.scoobynet.com/private-sa...ml#post8161959

It would make a great commuter as i used it every day on the M way.....a weekend toy...or a half decent track car.I can't beleive you can get near 320 bhp so easily now cost me 4K last year and spent tonnes on it getting it to this stage.

What's with the thumbs down and mad face for? You have a nice car, you've spent loads of cash getting it to where you want it. What's all the negativity for, it seems you don't really have to sell it at all

People I have sympathy for is those who are forced to sell not choose to.

Ifit does sell for a lower price due to the ecomony, surely the BMW will be cheaper to buy too.

Hope you do sell for what you want, we're all in the same boat

i REALLY wanna buy a E46 M3 or maybe even get a loan out to buy a 996 porsche,,,,, but i aint gonna give away my scoobie for it considering its a reliable car,,,,,, which i never planed for so its staying and the missus can buy a pair of prada boots and another chloe bag

mate the only reason i got a scoobie was i test drove a e36 M3 and a M3 evo, both i found boring compared to my old cossie,,, was about as much fun as driving the 325i i got as a run about but back then a e46 m3 was 15k for a ****ter

the missus wanted a scoobie so to shut her up i went "looking" and test drove one,,,,, just so i atleast made it look like i wanted one,, if that makes sence

bought the car i test drive there and then,,,, no thinking as it was soo much fun for what i was expecting

that was only march too !

as said i HATE the image the scoobie gives off, mines worse with that stupid bonnet scoop !

though i took mine to the ring as planned,,,,, and kept it for a bit longer,,,, then the **** fell out of em so im prob gonna die driving it

ive still got my 325i that since march ive driven it to and from the gym when the radiator split on the scoobie and also on thursday for a MOT,,,,, which it passed and now its back on my mates drive again till the impreza "lets go"

if someone offered me 4k for it i would sell it,,,, but it aint gonna happen so ill keep it

besides im about to sort the handling proper and ive got 6 sets of wheels for it too for track use

or test drive the bm first just incase

i aitn drove a e46 m3 yet, im holding it off incase i have another " how disapointing is this car " moment

though the e46 does something for me anyway

im also tempted at a 330ci too,, the choice i was gonna go for before i looked at M3's and scoobies

I'd rather be driving around with kids in the back in 4 wheel drive than a rear wheel drive

try my FIRST rwd car with a quaife diff and 353bhp, the car before it was a 1300 escort D:

took my old man out for a spin in it and hes NEVER been in ANY car with me since, he actually reached for the hand brake

though leather seats ARE important for a child,,, on long journeys my little can drink water or must eat at the services

Mind you, I also have a 2.8 PajeroSWB which 99% of the time is set to rear wheel drive. Try fitting kids stuff in the back of that, the boot is tiny and it's a hassle getting the kids into their seats.

E 46 is a nice car, I think some of u say m3 is boring because u've never took it to the limit as it is rwd and automaticly u r in the "safe" mode , scoob gives u more safe feeling thought, m3 - u need to know the limit of your capabilities. I don't think in your situation mate is agood decision, Kids in a coupe? U should go for the new age sti,,, more practical...

My 8 yr old and 5 yr old daughters absolutely love the scooby and are always looking out for other scoobs when in the car so they can give the scooby wave. Youngest loves the burble and the acceleration! Alan, nothing would make me happier than to take your awesome scooby off your hands as I'd love a well looked after classic - sadly I just don't have 2k lying around, especially with xmas lurking round the corner. Keep it until I do!
