Default Full Decat

Hi. I'm having my 2006 wrx mapped by JGM through Scooby World in 2 1/2 weeks time and i need to decat the downpipe before i go. Would i be able to drive for about a week with the decat downpipe on before i get it mapped, i would keep it off boost, but if the cel light came on would i still be able to drive it.

Cheers Stuart.

If yours is the 2.5ltr UK car then no I wouldn't recommend you drive it for that long decatted without a map. With the 2.0ltr you should get away with it ok. However, it isn't really possible to drive off boost, but take it as easy as possible.

Why can you get away with on 2.0ltr and not the 2.5ltr. Isn't it the same car with just a slightly bigger engine.

Cheers Stuart.
