Mine has just started to make that noise the other day - after 12 months at 310bhp without making it.
Is that normal? or has the valve started to fail or leak?
It's started 5 days after a service when the intercooler was taken off and cleaned out. Also when my air filter was taken out and cleaned. But nothing was replaced and it never used to make the noise.
Sorry for being a numpty as well for this question - but how come it's an air sound when the intercooler has water in it (i.e. OE valve attached to intercooler?).
Cheers
Richard.

You intercooler will not have water in it. Air is blown through the inertooler from the turbo. This is then cooled by air passing through the I/C core that comes through the bonnet scoop.
Chargecoolers use water to cool in the inlet charge and they will then run a water-to-air radiator to cool down the water.

As I said - a numpty question.
Thanks
