Default EML and MOT

Just a general question: will a car pass an MOT if the EML is constantly on?

Thanks
Nick

Depends what the fault is? And why are you driving around with the light on for ? Not trying to be rude fella but it may mess up your car and could be dangerous to other road users as of your self.

Whats the fault for matey as we maybe able to help.?

I thought I should have given some more info.

It's not my Impreza - but my Corsa runaround which is due its MOT at the w/e. Anyhow I decided to give it a full service and clean out all the breather pipes, ICV, EGR etc.

I also blanked off the EGR as this causes problems when it gets dirty - I've had to remove and clean it before and it is really difficult to get to - but now the EML stays on. This is a known solution (Vauxhall even sell the blanking plates ) and I had read that the EML would stay off as long as the EGR was still connected.

Right i get you now totally understand!

Ok i would suggest a few things really being...

Call Vauxhall and ask them if it will pass the mot with the light on and explain the fault to them!

Also call a few mot places and ask them the same and see what response you get.

Put it back to how it should be just for the mot to get it through

The only dashboard warning light which matters in n MOT test is the ABS lamp.
