It is a V limited, it has the right engine code box code and suspension, together with the Skirt extensions and rear bumper extension, its also got the lightweight alloy Bonnet boot and the Doors Seam Strangly light in comparision to my other scooby, Not Forgeting the Lightweight alloy wishbones ect ect
They have STI spec Engine box and suspension so i guess thats why some one has put it on the log book, According to a scooby bloke its also fitted with the prodrive suspension kit, so again thats it explained,
Its NOT a WRX Sti its a WRX V limited
model code
GC8C48D
These have the 1996 WRX Sti Version 2 Engine in them (uprated heads ect)

Here you go some help for the V limited bit? Or at least to ease my concience
Which Car is a WRX STi
Which Car is a WRX STi
Every other site says the V limited was built from 1996 onwards I even took my scooby to the local scooby dealer as the chap there was impreza mad and wanted to see one in real life (he got quite boaring in the end telling me how rare it was and how i should never drive it and that he thinks under 250 of them were actualy sold to the public in japan)
From another Incorrect website
GC8C (9/1995-9/1996)
In November 1994, the WRX had a power increase to 260 PS (191 kW) at 6500 rpm with 31.5 kg·m (309 N·m) at 5000 rpm. The wheel diameters were increased to 16 inches and brake rotors were both changed to ventilated disks. With these modifications, the curb weight decreased to 1230 kg (2712 lb). The WRX Type RA has the same mechanical upgrades and power rating, but only has a curb weight of 1180 kg (2601 lb).
GC8D (9/1996-9/1997)
The 1996MY WRX debuts on January 1996. The WRX design received minimal mechanical changes, but a WRX V-Limited Edition was introduced to celebrate the success of the Impreza WRC car in the FIA WRC. It is mechanically the same to the WRX but has a curb weight of 1240 kg (2734 lb). The V-limited cars are painted in World Rally Blue.

want there hands copping off. i do like v-limited. keep it. it will go up in value once all the chavs have smashed up the rest. the market is flooded at the moment with chaved up crap. give it 5 years and maybe they will hold value a bit better.

i bet quite a few of em are over here now. dont be fooled by the 1000 thing. the japs had a habit of making multiple 1000 editions! i,e there could well be 3 sets of 1000! Bit like what they did with the early sti's. might be wrong

I have had this one 3 months and its had 2 oil changes and a recon box so its still loved! but its time to move on to a cheap runabout for a while so i can afford to build my capri up how i want it, to be honest if i can see near 4k back for it i will be more than happy, its such a nice car and has never been a "chav" wagon its even got what i am told is the original wheels for it (16" silver 7? spokes) i just need to get the spoiler painted as the laqure is shot and sort out the trolly dings

the bloke in the dealer brought up a huge list of the gen1 V limited chassis numbers, they all had there 0000/1000 number and there were lots with the words "unregisterd" next to them he reconed they had never seen the road and were used for testing/raceing, not sure how true but he did seam like a 110% scooby annorak, he told me over the phone EVERY detail my car should have to be a V limited to!!! My one shows up as No.0055 iirc

going back the the original post, i think in the current marke you will struggle to get even 3.5k. like i say a combination of the uk economy, and a flood of imprezas about will mean you will be struggling hard to shift it for that money. shame.

Mines a 96 white version. I was under the impression 500 were made in blue and 500 were made in white. When I had the heads of, to my surprise I had a closed deck block in it and a IHI 22 turbo.
I had the same problem, my v-limited badge was nicked within 24hrs of getting the car. On the doors, when I had to get the rear door fixed, the panel beater commented that the door looked like a lightweight version.
The problem with the v-limited's there is a lot of myths and bull that goes around about them. Its a struggle to get any hard facts about them.
